Modern Ideas, Traditional Ideals

The only independent K-12 Jewish community day school in Orange County and one of the largest in the nation, TVT was established in 1991 by Irving Gelman, a Holocaust survivor, in loving memory of Naomi Gelman Weiss. It is a tribute to the Tarbut schools that flourished in Eastern Europe before the Holocaust.

Earning the prestigious "Honor Award" from the American Institute of Architects, the spacious 21.5-acre
hillside campus provides:
· 150,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities
· The latest technology integrated into all classrooms
· Gymnasium and two full-size athletic fields
· Access to the Olympic-size swimming pool and gymnasiums at the adjacent Merage Jewish Community Center
· A library with the largest Judaica collection in Orange County.

An award-winning school, TVT has achieved:
· The highest level of accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and provisional   accreditation through California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS)
· Recognition by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

TVT students regularly distinguish themselves as National Merit scholars, as National Honor Society members and with the Orange County's Top Student of the Year award.
