Love Learning

Tarbut V'Torah is a community for the entire family. It's a home away from home where students learn, study, discover, form enduring friendships and have fun.

TVT learning is rigorous, progressive, contemporary and innovative. The program is project-based, hands-on, expository and real-life. Students master skills for how to learn as well as acquiring the knowledge necessary to succeed in college and life. They learn the secret to asking the right questions to learn more: to question assumptions and take risks. They learn to search for connections -- personal, intellectual, academic and religious. They learn to embrace who they are and articulate their ideas passionately.

Live Values

TVT's long tradition of academic excellence and Judaic studies ensures that students integrate the Jewish experience into everyday living through our six key values:

· Respect (Kavod)
· Kindness (Hessed)
· Repairing the world (Tikkun Olam)
· Justice (Tzedek)
· Caring for the community (Klal Yesrael )
· Truth (Emmet)

The different observances, practices, nationalities, cultures, languages and lifestyles that comprise the TVT community enable students to appreciate and honor diversity.

Discover Heritage

TVT strives to instill in students a strong sense of Jewish ethics and identity and how Judaism promotes a joyous and meaningful way of life. They learn the meaning and significance of prayers, symbols, rituals and festivals. Consequently, they graduate with a strengthened sense of Jewish identity, a commitment to the Jewish community and a comprehensive knowledge of history and traditions.

The Junior Year trip to Poland and Israel creates lasting ties to Eretz Israel as the students share their extraordinary firsthand experience of Jewish history and culture.
