The curriculum blends academics with Jewish values. This approach reinforces learning and requires students to evaluate many areas to find understanding.
In all core areas of our curriculum -- language arts, math, science and technology, fine and performing arts, and Hebrew and Judaica -- language and literacy development is paramount. In order to develop academic and problem solving skills, students learn to ask and answer questions and to respectfully challenge claims. Individual student needs are met within the classroom with differentiated instruction as well as through our Advanced Learners Program (ALP) and Support Specialists, which include School Psychologist, Guidance Counselor, Learning Specialist, Reading Specialist and Speech Therapist.
The Lower School introduces students to Jewish heritage, prayer, language, culture, values, customs, text and traditions. Students develop leadership skills by leading Shabbat services, T'fillot , Rosh Chodesh and holiday celebrations. Emphasis on being a mensch is instilled and fostered every day through every area of the curriculum to reinforce our Jewish values and instill in the children the importance of treating others with respect and kindness.
Special programs and instruction in Hebrew and Judaica are available for students entering at any grade without any previous background.
