Student-Centered Learning
Small classes that average 14 students per class provide individual attention inside and outside the classroom. An experiential student-centered approach to learning requires our students to be involved with teachers, fellow students and the curriculum. TVT's specialized faculty for middle schoolers keeps the focus on teaching and maximizes learning.

Our faculty challenges students to move from concrete to abstract thinking and analysis with a carefully coordinated curriculum driven by themes, questions and interdisciplinary connections that transcend basic subject matter.

TVT helps students explore Jewish sources, text and values to discover meaning in their lives. Students strengthen core Jewish values through advisory experiences, Middle School town meetings and academic themes. Leadership skills in assemblies and holiday planning teach students how to articulate and demonstrate Jewish pride. A three-year service program tied to B'nai Mitzvah studies allows students to begin to repair the world by helping those in need.

College counseling begins in 8th grade to provide students and parents with a roadmap to better position them for college admittance.
