During the holidays, we often take a moment to look at our own lives and express gratitude for the people and things we have. It's also the perfect opportunity to look outside of our own lives and think about how we can give back to the world. Harper C., one of our third grade Lions, has shown us the true meaning of Tikkun Olam.
Last Thursday, our 5th-grade students participated in the "Walk Through the American Revolution" program. Students learned about historical events and characters that were involved in this part of America's history. The American Revolution comes to life as they dress up, take the part of a notable historical figure, and re-enact dramatic exchanges and battles of the late 1700s, Our presenter enhanced our experience with flags, maps, animated props, explanations, and story-telling. We are grateful to have this program so we can learn about our country's history through different formats.
