“One light, one Sun, one sun lighting everyone. “One world turning, one world turning everyone!”
The Kindergarteners are using this song to learn about time, the world, different types of families, and how some things are shared by everyone in the world.
The students were excited to shine their mini flashlights on our classroom globe and watch as the earth rotated on its axis, and orbited around the sun. We did a “pair-share” where students shared their daily activities with a partner, went through a full 24 hours in their lives, all while manipulating the hands on their mini clocks. They enjoyed creating their own World Time Wheels, illustrating daily activities and appreciating the special family times in a day spent together.
“One hope, one joy, one love filling everyone.”
Our Kindergarteners always have thoughtful and interesting comments to share about helping others around the world!
