College Counseling

The College Counseling Department at TVT provides students numerous opportunities each year to engage deeply in the search for self regarding life post high school. Beginning in 8th grade, our director meets the students and families to develop a four-year academic plan. Students will then meet with the director multiple times each year through various programming that is aimed at helping students explore and develop their strengths, talents, and academic skills. Our director will also guide each student to colleges, universities, and post-secondary program(s) that best suit their gifts. Moreover, the college counseling program is deeply personalized; our students and families actively participate in identifying schools here and abroad that match their goals.

Located in the Upper School, the college counseling suite is the center of social gatherings on campus. Furthermore, by providing support for internships, summer programming, employment, extra-curricular activities and academic planning, our college counseling program is comprehensive and inclusive.

The bottom line is this--we want our graduates to be happy and comfortable during their college years so they can succeed and thrive in life after Tarbut.
