Ms. Bergamini earned her BS in Middle and Secondary Education at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has taught a variety of Social Studies courses as well as English as a New Language. During the past two years, Ms. Bergamini earned a certificate in trauma-informed teaching and started learning Spanish. She is very happy to be a new resident of California and uses her free time to explore as much as she can.

Major Mejia served in the United States Marine Corps for 25 years. He first enlisted and later commissioned an officer. During his career, he served in the Infantry, Communications Command & Control, and Policy & International Affairs. He served extensively in Washington D.C., Japan, Republic of Korea, Afghanistan, and the greater Indo-Pacific region. He has held several staff and company command assignments. His final assignment was the Director Northeast Asia, Policy & International Affairs, Marine Forces Pacific.
Mr. Mejia retired to return home, support his wife’s career, and pursue a calling to teach America’s youth. Post retirement, he attended the University of Southern California, where he earned his Master of Art in Teaching Social Science with a California teaching credential. He is primarily concerned with America’s youth and human development. Foremost he believes in teaching middle school because youth require positive encouragement and development for their life-long success. Mr. Mejia taught history for three years before accepting his position at Tarbut V’ Torah.
Mr. Mejia is married to Nao “Ikeno” Mejia and they have one son and two daughters. He enjoys life and exploring his children’s interests.

Mrs. Musquez received her BA in History from California State University, San Bernardino in 2005. She returned to school to earn her Single-Subject Teaching Credential in Social Sciences in 2013 from California State University, Fullerton, after which she began her full-time teacher career. Always yearning to learn more, Mrs. Musquez has recently returned to pursue her Masters Degree in American History at Gettysburg College in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
In her free time, Mrs. Musquez enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband of nearly 28 years, her four children, and granddaughter. She enjoys reading historical novels, musical theatre, and is a self-professed Disney geek. She also loves power tools, woodworking, and home improvements.
