    Bio
     
    Ms. Talbert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English for Secondary Education/Credential, with a complementary minor in Biblical studies, from BIOLA University. Commencing her professional journey as an educator, she distinguished herself as a curriculum architect, coordinator of the Creation & Innovation Lab, and director for the "SMILE Counselors," a peer mentorship program. Returning to academia, she obtained her Master of Arts in English at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, while navigating the landscape of virtual teaching and learning.

    Ms. Talbert has also instructed College-Preparatory English courses spanning grades 9-12, as well as Advanced-Placement Literature classes. Rounding out her span of teaching experience, she has also taught Freshmen Composition at the university level. Her love for the arts always at the forefront, she has served as the Assistant Vocal Director and Arts & Entertainment teacher in her prior schools' Arts departments.

    Beyond the educational sphere, Ms. Talbert enjoys walking and hiking alongside her partner and their two Labradoodles, Ruby and Riley.

    Bio
     
    Facility with mathematics is the key that opens so many doors, thus there is no greater gift I can give a student than to help them enter college confident in their abilities.  In my class, I seek to develop that facility in students with an approach that focuses on problem-based learning with immediate feedback."  
     
    Mr. Thompson earned a B.S. magna cum laude in electrical engineering from Columbia University, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.  Rick has spent the majority of his professional life as a teacher of mathematics in independent schools, most recently teaching AP Calculus and AP Statistics at Mater Dei High School.  He began his mathematics teaching career at his alma mater Polytechnic School in Pasadena where he spent six years developing and adapting curriculum for the accelerated and honors programs.  
     
    Rick holds the FINRA Series 65 investment advisor license and runs an advisory firm with his father part-time.  He is also a registered patent attorney.  In his spare time, he likes to play soccer and the piano, take his dog Rory for a walk, and play games with his family.

    Coach Towning aka Coach T to his students and players, graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2014 with a B.S. in Kinesiology, and obtained his Single Subject Teaching Credential from CSUF in 2015.  Coach Towning was formerly teaching physical education and coaching our Boys’ Varsity baseball team for the past 6 years.  Coach T led TVT Baseball to its furthest playoff berth in TVT history in reaching the CIF-SS Quarterfinals in 2021, while also being named Academy League Coach of the Year.  
     
    In his free time, Coach T loves spending time with his wife Melissa, and his four children Maya, Simone, Reese and Trey.  He also spends lots of time out on the golf course, working out, hiking, and cheering on his Raiders, Angels, Lakers, UCLA Bruins, and TVT Lions
