Melanie’s interests span science, technology, and the arts. She hopes to become both a doctor and an artist and was nominated for the Pathways to STEM Leadership Forum at UC San Diego, where she studied the human heart, analyzed forensic evidence, and explored robotics. At TVT, Melanie especially enjoys expressing her creativity in the art room and bringing original ideas to life. She also participates in MenschMakers, encouraging and celebrating acts of kindness throughout the school community.

Lower School’s hands-on curriculum encourages students to explore connections across science, technology, and the arts. Through experiences like designing an original California mission, creating in the art room, and participating in MenschMakers, Melanie is developing her curiosity, creativity, and commitment to kindness with the support of caring teachers.
Neri has found a meaningful outlet for his creativity and passion in Advanced Garage Band. The music room is his favorite place on campus—a space where he feels comfortable experimenting, collaborating with other musicians, and developing his artistic voice. Beyond music, Neri helps welcome prospective students to TVT as a student ambassador, strives to support his peers, and loves contributing to a community in which everyone feels respected and included.

Middle School
Middle School’s collaborative, project-based curriculum gives students opportunities to bring their individual passions into their academic learning. By producing a song and music video for his Earth Science final and performing in Advanced Garage Band, Neri is learning to pair his creativity with thoughtful planning, collaboration, and follow-through.
Dylan is a writer, leader, athlete, and entrepreneur. She serves as a grade representative and newspaper editor, plays volleyball, interns in social media, and participates in several student-led organizations. She also founded the Fashion Forecasting Club, creating a space to explore one of her interests alongside her peers. Through each role, Dylan brings creativity, initiative, and a commitment to making others feel respected and included.

Upper School’s interdisciplinary curriculum and wide range of leadership opportunities allow students to connect their academic and personal interests. From developing a perfume and its brand strategy in chemistry to leading clubs and writing for the school newspaper, Dylan is growing as a confident writer, creative thinker, and engaged community member.
